Before the Production Schedule begins, I sit down with my Creative Director to discuss a theme for each issue. We run through specific exercises as a team to go from broad concepts to concrete topics for each story, a process the entire staff eventually takes part in.

The 16 week Production Schedule aligns the entire staff on a single timeline for conceptualizing, iterating on, and delivering cohesive storytelling packages. This is developed long before it is meant to begin. Once we share it with our staff, we are off to the races in writing, editing, photographing, and designing for the product we envision at the end: a 40 page feature story magazine. This photo was featured in Volume 19, Issue 01 of The Point Magazine.

Launch
Launch
At the end of our Production Schedule we host a launch party to celebrate the publishing of the magazine. The Point Magazine has been recognized nationally every year since I began serving as a Junior Designer, including the Best Print Magazine (2023), and 2nd Best Cover Design (2024) awards, and more! We have also experienced a 200% increase in launch week sales since I took over as Editor-in-Chief.
